Financial burden should not be an obstacle to healing.
No one should be left behind.
Healing broken bodies, broken minds, and broken hearts.
What is VTVCARE?
VTVCARE is a mission created by VTV Family Outreach Foundation (501c3). VTVFOF was formed by a majority of the families and victim-survivors impacted by the mass shooting at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007.
Our Mission
Mass shootings and mass violence events gravely impact our communities by physically injuring and psychologically traumatizing people and imposing substantial, unforeseen financial burdens that no individual should have to bear.
Our mission is to financially assist victim-survivors with their long-term physical and psychological trauma-related expenses.
Our Objective
Provide a sustainable model for financial assistance to as many mass–shooting survivors nationwide, suffering from long-term physical and psychological trauma-related injuries.
Proceeds from the VTVCARE endowment fund are dispersed annually as funds allow.
Our efforts don’t end with meeting survivors’ financial needs. Far more than that, we’re here to provide a lifelong network of support and resources to relieve pain and suffering.
Our Goal
Establish a permanent $1 million endowment, 100% of the proceeds are dedicated to mass shooting survivors for their long-term physical and psychological trauma-related care needs in perpetuity.
